Dixieland 250

Dixieland 250 August 6, 2019

The ARCA Midwest Tour Dixieland 250 is a long running event that draws competitors from all across the USA.

We went out to practice and had a great time of 19.374 and felt pretty confident about our chances to start in he invert.

Then came time trials.

We never timed in with stickers, or never run tires, they still have stickers on the tread, but today, we did.

After the time trials, Grant said the tires never came in, meaning got to the good rubber, and looking at the tires, they didn't.

Live and learn.

We had to run a qualitfying race to get into the feature, which we did, and now get the pit area ready for the 250 lapper.

In the race, Grant passed several cars right away from his 25th starting spot, but soon the race turned sour, as the engine developed a bad miss around lap 5.

Under the first yellow flag, we pitted to see if maybe a plug wire fell off, but all 8 were on so tonight, he would just log laps.

On lap 236, the rear end (gears) exploded and it ended the night just short of the checkered, finishing in 18th place

Thanks once again to our hard working crew. This was a long day with hot and humid weather.
